Torres del Paine

I arrived to Paine on Thursday. I knew I want too go W track and that I want to did it fast. So I decide to go comfortable way with sleeping in cottages so called refugios. One night with half board on each of them was around 100 usd. Plus transportation expenses and national park entrance fee altogether up to 100 usd. I managed to get booking for next three days in different cottages on the track sick was kind of lucky because season is still not fully over. I accommodated myself in hostel's dormitory for 21 usd in Wild Hostel which wad one of my best on my travels so far. Very friendly Finnish owner and helpful staff with delicious food, local brewery beer and clean and nicely design interior.

Next morning I started my journey. Normally the track is done in 5 days, but I walked lightweight and decided to do it in 4 (3 and half in reality). The trail is altogether over 70km. First day I reached my first camp Chikeno quite fast and went to Paine's viewpoint. There was beautiful lake and mountains above that like teeth. Very relax and very nice weather. 13,5km altogether. In the evening there I had expensive prepaid dinner which I expected some shit, but was really great 4 course with the salmon as main and I would be ok to pay even more in restaurant. Talked to incredible US couple who travels in tent for 2 years. Fallen a sleep nicely tired.

Second day I had very relaxed part. Going back down to the valley and walking around the lake to my next camp Cuernos. 11km altogether. I did that by 3 hours, twice faster than the map says. So after check in I had some little time to go to the "beach". It's in shade of mountains so the sun goes down already around 3pm.

3rd day is the hardest.  I'm supposed to climb two views and do hefty 26km altogether. 11 walking hours by guide, 11 hours long day. I still decided to start hour after sunrise. Everything went fast, I passed Italiano camp and realized that I forgot my headphones in last camp. I also lost my way twice doing hour of detour. I finally reached the viewpoint. Not so incredible like yesterday but still impressing. Stayed for hour and went back down. I wad thinking for some moment that I will go back for my headphones with 3 hours detour but I didn't had enough time. I asked German couple to take them for me if they find them. In the 3nd I arrived to my last cottage at 6pm super tired.

Last day, 24km relatively flat to reach glacier and back to catch catamaran back to Puento Natales. Easy yet tiring after yesterday's long trail. Worth it in the end. Incredible view over the glacier, never saw glacier like that. Some pieces of it were floating away and breaking in smaller pieces slowly. I came back completely exhausted. I had a chill and I was dizzy. Happy to walk slowly at least. :-)
